Sri Lanka, Aug. 18 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (18) ordered police to provide the necessary security for the individual known as 'Shiran Basik', who is being detained and questioned at the Colombo Central Crime Investigation Bureau under the Prevention of Terrorism Act over alleged involvement in a drug trafficking network.

The court issued this order following submissions made by his attorney-at-law Vasantha Pitigala, stating that there is no proper security for the suspect, who is being held near the Narahenpita Police Station at the Colombo Central Crime Investigation Bureau.
