Sri Lanka, March 11 -- The Galle Main Magistrate, Samira Dodangoda, ordered the Director of the Galle National Hospital today(11) to release the bodies of 84 Iranian sailors to officials of the Iranian Embassy. These remains currently remain in two mobile cold storage units at the hospital premises.
The Magistrate issued this directive following a formal request made by the Galle Harbour Police to the Galle Main Magistrate's Court. The handover marks a key step in the repatriation process for the deceased sailors who had been stationed at the Galle facility.
