Sri Lanka, Feb. 17 -- The Colombo Central Crimes Division must investigate and arrest suspects who allegedly forged documents while posing as the Energy Minister to collect donations for school students displaced by Cyclone Ditwah in the Central Province.

Fort Magistrate Isuru Nettikumara issued this order today (17).

The Magistrate gave the direction after considering a further report submitted to the court regarding an ongoing investigation into a complaint received by the Central Crimes Division.

The police should examine phone records related to the fund collection and present any suspects to court if they uncover evidence of wrongdoing.
