Sri Lanka, Oct. 14 -- The Court of Appeal ordered the writ application filed seeking a directive to the Attorney General and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to implement the recommendations made by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Sunday attacks against former Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), Nilantha Jayawardena, to be called for support on March 24.

The petition was taken up today (14) before the Court of Appeal bench comprising Justices Mayadunne Corea and Mahen Gopallawa.

Appearing for the petitioners, the lawyer requested the court to fix a date for the petition to be called for support, to which the bench complied, ordering it to be called on March 24.
