Sri Lanka, March 24 -- The Colombo High Court ordered that the corruption case filed by the Bribery Commission against Parliamentarian Chamara Sampath Dasanayake be called on April 30.
The order was delivered today (24) by Colombo High Court Judge Ravindra Premaratne.
The judge directed the case to be taken up for a pre-trial conference on the specified date.
The indictments allege that while serving as the Chief Minister of the Uva Province in 2016, Dasanayake committed corruption by depositing a check drawn for the Provincial Council into his private bank account.
