Sri Lanka, Sept. 27 -- The Parliamentary Committee on Finance has formally requested the President to ensure the salary of the Chairman of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) is equal to that of the President of the Court of Appeal, according to the Committee's Chairman, Member of Parliament Dr. Harsha de Silva.
Dr. de Silva highlighted that while an agreement was reached in 2024 to grant the CIABOC Chairman a salary equivalent to the President of the Court of Appeal, this has not yet been implemented.
He pointed out that the salary of the President of the Court of Appeal has since been increased after 2024.
