Sri Lanka, June 2 -- Container transport rates rose by 5% yesterday (1), according to the Container Transport Owners' Association.

The Container Transport Owners' Association Chairperson, Sanath Manjula, stated at a media briefing that the revised rates came into force immediately and applied to all container transportation services from yesterday.

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation revised fuel prices, effective from midnight on 30 May.

The price of Auto Diesel rose by Rs. 15 to Rs. 407 per litre, and the price of Super Diesel increased by Rs. 20 to Rs. 478 per litre.

The price of Petrol 92 Octane went up by Rs. 24 to Rs. 434 per litre, whilst Petrol 95 Octane hiked by Rs. 25 rupees to Rs. 495 per litre.
