Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) says it conducted 70 raids related to rice sales and distribution across the country in the past week.

According to the Authority, 55 of the raids were specifically on rice sales, while the remaining 15 were for other related offences.

The raids targeted traders who were found to be hoarding rice, failing to display prices, and selling rice with conditions attached.
