Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- A complaint has been filed with the Human Rights Commission against three police officers following an incident at the Fort Magistrate's Court.
According to the complaint, Assistant Superintendent of Police, a Chief Police Inspector, and a Sub-Inspector are accused of obstructing and making inappropriate comments towards Buddhist monks, including the Venerable Thiniyagama Palitha Thero and Venerable Malabe Seelarathana Thero.
The monks were allegedly prevented from entering the court premises where the case against former President Ranil Wickremesinghe was being heard.
The complaint was filed by the Venerable Thiniyagama Palitha Thero and other members of the Sangha.
