Sri Lanka, Aug. 9 -- An individual was arrested along with a stock of counterfeit currency notes and equipment, including printing machines, during a raid on a communication centre located in the Kotte Road area in the Mirihana police division, the Western Province South District Crimes Division said.

The Police Media Division mentioned that this raid was carried out yesterday (08) based on confidential information received by the officers of the Western Province South District Crimes Division.

A 53-year-old resident of the Pitakotte area has been arrested during the raid, and police investigations revealed that he is the owner of the communication centre.
