Sri Lanka, Aug. 14 -- The Parliamentary Committee on High Posts has approved the appointments of an ambassador, two Ministry Secretaries, and four chairmen.

The approvals were made at a meeting held on August 6, 2025.

The committee approved the nomination of Wijesinghe Arachchige Kapila Sanjeewa De Alwis as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Sultanate of Oman.

The appointments of M.A.L.S.N.K. Manthrinayake as the Secretary to the Ministry of Rural Development, Social Security and Community Empowerment, and J.M. Thilaka Jayasundara as the Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development were also approved.
