Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- A committee has been appointed to investigate the fire that broke out at an electronics store on First Cross Street in Pettah yesterday afternoon.

The committee will be headed by Deputy Minister of Public Security, Attorney-at-Law Sunil Watagala.

It took a combined effort of the Colombo Municipal Council Fire Service, the Air Force, and the Navy about 12 hours to bring the blaze under control.

Around 15 fire engines and a Bell-212 helicopter were used in the operation.
