Sri Lanka, Feb. 14 -- Five representatives from the Ministry of Fisheries and five representatives from the All Ceylon Madel Association were appointed to look into the issues of beach seine fishermen.

Fisheries Minister Ramalingam Chandrasekar stated at a press conference held in Colombo yesterday that further discussions on this matter are expected to take place the day after tomorrow.

The satyagraha held by Madel fishermen for nine days in front of the Presidential Secretariat ended yesterday following a discussion with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
