Sri Lanka, Sept. 19 -- The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested an army commando soldier for allegedly supplying and repairing firearms and ammunition for Salintha Perera, an individual known as 'Commando Salintha', who was recently arrested in Indonesia.

The soldier is reportedly attached to the First Commando Regiment in Ganemulla.

The arrest follows the capture of an organised gang of five, including Kehelbadde Padme, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Padme, 'Commando Salintha,' and 'Kudu' Nilanga of Panadura are currently being held and questioned by the CID's Commercial Crimes Investigation Division 1.
