Sri Lanka, Oct. 3 -- Seaplane flights between Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport and Colombo have been officially relaunched today (3), using the Beira Lake as a water aerodrome.
The relaunch ceremony was held under the patronage of the Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports, and Civil Aviation, Bimal Rathnayake.
This move marks a significant step in the government's plan to promote domestic air travel and boost the tourism sector.
The flight service is being operated by Cinnamon Air, which currently runs other seaplane services across Sri Lanka.
The service will allow tourists and the business community arriving at Katunayake Airport to travel to Colombo efficiently and comfortably in a short period.
