Clearest ever images of the sun released
Sri Lanka, Aug. 6 -- A set of highly clear and astonishing images and video footage never before seen on the surface of the sun was captured using the world's most powerful solar telescope, according to scientists.
The 'Nature' scientific journal, published this latest set of images, captured by the Inouye Solar Telescope, built on a high mountain peak with clear, dust-free skies in the Hawaiian Islands.
Activities exhibiting a cyclone-like nature operating on the surface of the sun are clearly revealed through these latest photographs and video footage, foreign reports stated.
The magnetic field of the sun turns and moves in this manner due to the movements of hot gas currents, researchers pointed out.
