SriLanka, April 6 -- Officers of the Western Province South Crimes Division apprehended the primary suspect involved in the stabbing death of a foreign woman in Kalubowila last March.

The suspect, identified as a 26-year-old Chinese national, allegedly carried out the brutal attack with a sharp weapon inside an apartment complex on March 23.

Following the incident within the Kohuwala police jurisdiction, the perpetrator fled the area and remained in hiding while local authorities launched an extensive manhunt.

Acting on a specific tip-off, police tracked the individual to a hotel on Sir Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha in Kollupitiya yesterday afternoon (05).
