Sri Lanka, Oct. 2 -- The Government Medical Officers' Association (GMOA) is calling on the Ministry of Health to ensure transparency when implementing transfer orders for doctors in state hospitals across the island.

Views to this effect were aired yesterday (01) by Dr. Prasad Colombage, an Executive Committee Member of the Government Medical Officers' Association, during a media briefing held in Colombo.

Dr. Colombage also stated that these transfer orders are being implemented for only a select group of doctors.
