Cabinet approves the purchase of 535 utility vehicles
Sri Lanka, July 1 -- Cabinet approval was granted for the purchase of 535 utility vehicles, including 100 gully bowsers.
The President, in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development, presented the proposal that received the cabinet's endorsement.
The shortage of utility vehicles within the relevant institutions was identified as a severe obstacle to the efficient and effective implementation of government development projects.
The relevant procurement process will commence immediately as a remedy for this issue.
Accordingly, the plan includes the purchase of 175 tractors, 100 gully bowsers, 100 backhoes, and 160 tipper trucks.
