Sri Lanka, Oct. 23 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved two key appointments to fill vacancies created by recent retirements in the public service.
K. T. I. Premaratne, an officer of the Special Grade of the Sri Lanka Planning Service, has been appointed as the Director General of the Department of National Planning, following the retirement of J. M. S. D. Rathnayake on September 21.
The appointment was made on the recommendation of the interview panel and proposed by the President in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development.
Meanwhile, N. K. U. Rohana, the most senior Additional Surveyor General of the Special Grade of the Sri Lanka Survey Service, has been appointed as the new Surveyor General, ...
