Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has seized 3,620 kg of expired dates, valued at an estimated Rs. 6.5 million, from a warehouse in Wattala.
The dates were being stored for sale, and the CAA's action was taken to protect consumers from unsafe food products.
Following the raid, the expired stock was immediately sealed, and legal action was initiated against those responsible.
