Sri Lanka, Feb. 24 -- Two private bus drivers sustained injuries and were hospitalised following a head-on collision on the Wadduwa-Moronthuduwa road, according to Wadduwa Police.
The incident occurred in the Malegama area of Wadduwa while a Kalutara-Bandaragama bus and a Weragama-Colombo bus were travelling to begin their scheduled turns. Police stated that both injured drivers were transported to the Panadura Base Hospital for treatment.
The victims were identified as the drivers of the Bandaragama-Kalutara and Weragama-Colombo buses.
Traffic flow on the Panadura-Moronthuduwa road faced disruptions near Malegama as the collision blocked the route. Wadduwa Police are currently conducting further investigations into the event.
