Sri Lanka, Aug. 3 -- The Commissioner General of Buddhist Affairs, R.M.P. Rathnayake, has been removed from his post.
When questioned about the matter, Deputy Minister of Buddhist, Religious, and Cultural Affairs Gamagedera Dissanayake stated that the Cabinet took the decision to remove him following complaints from various parties.
He added that former Additional Commissioner Kasun Wellahewa has been appointed to the position.
