Sri Lanka, Oct. 18 -- Heavy rainfall experienced in the Bogawanthalawa area yesterday (October 17) afternoon has resulted in numerous low-lying areas of the region being flooded.

Several roads are submerged in water, causing obstructions to travel. In the lower section of the Bogawanthalawa Kotiyagala Estate, many roads are so heavily flooded that estate workers are unable to reach their residences.
