Sri Lanka, July 27 -- Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama today (27) rejected the bail application made on behalf of the two suspects, including the co-owner of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) Jaffna Kings team, who are remanded on match-fixing charges.

The magistrate rejected bail in that manner, delivering the order today (27) regarding a motion filed in court by Attorney-at-Law K.W.S. Fernando, who appeared in court for the suspects on the 24th in connection with the incident.

The attorney had requested the court through the motion to release his two clients on bail as they are suffering from illness.

Accordingly, the court, which rejected the bail application, ordered the suspects to be further remanded until the 31st.
