Sri Lanka, Aug. 2 -- The number of fishermen who died after setting out for fishing amid adverse weather conditions has now risen to five.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources also stated that another fisherman who had gone out for fishing from the Mannar area remains missing.

Of two fishermen who had gone out to sea and gone missing after meeting with an accident on the afternoon of July 31, off the Chilaw, Thoduwawa area, the body of one was washed ashore at Kollupitiya today (02).

The other fisherman, who survived the accident, has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital.
