Sri Lanka, Aug. 12 -- The mother of Nadungoda Nirmala Prasanna alias 'Backhoe Saman' died after being hospitalised following the shooting in the Middeniya Ulhitiya area, according to the police.

Two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle carried out the shooting this evening (12) and fled the scene.
