Sri Lanka, Aug. 23 -- United War Veterans Association Convenor Asela Dharmasiri was remanded until the day after tomorrow (25) by the Ampara Additional Magistrate over allegedly defaming the Grama Niladhari of the W25/A division in Panthalgama, Ampara online.

Damana Police informed the court that the suspect was arrested and investigated following a complaint lodged by the Panthalgama W25/A division Grama Niladhari on the 11th regarding this incident.

It is reported that the individual concerned did not reside at the permanent residence address included in the electoral register for over 10 years.
