Sri Lanka, May 22 -- A warrant was issued for the arrest of former Minister Basil Rajapaksa after he failed to appear before the Matara Magistrate's Court.

The case in relevance was filed on alleged illegally-acquired funds used to purchase land at Brown's Hill in Matara.
