Sri Lanka, May 27 -- Health authorities say that around 200 suspected cases of meningitis (commonly known as "brain fever") have been reported in the country.

Speaking at a media briefing held today (27) at the Health Promotion Bureau, Specialist Community Physician of the Epidemiology Unit, Dr. Thushani Dabarera, stated that about 50 patients from four districts are currently receiving treatment in hospitals.
