Sri Lanka, April 8 -- Dry weather conditions caused several ancient ruins submerged in the Castlereigh and Maussakelle reservoirs to reappear.
According to engineers in charge of the reservoirs, water levels are currently dropping rapidly.
The water level at the Maussakelle reservoir fell to 47 feet below the spill level as of 6:00 AM today (08).
Similarly, engineers stated that the water level at the Castlereigh reservoir dropped to 43.8 feet.
