Sri Lanka, Aug. 27 -- Two more police officers, a sergeant and a constable, attached to the Ambalangoda Police Station have been transferred with immediate effect in connection with a recent incident that took place inside the station premises.

The police sub-inspector who was in charge of the team that arrested the suspect in question was also previously transferred.

A special investigation ordered by the Inspector General of Police is currently under way under the supervision of a Senior Superintendent of Police for the Galle District.
