Sri Lanka, Aug. 18 -- Operational profits from Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited rose by 78% in the first six months of 2025 compared to the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation.
According to ministry data, operational profit for the first half of 2024 stood at Rs. 9,049 million, while this year's figure reached Rs. 16,133 million.
The ministry also reported a 16% increase in total flight movements in 2025, with international flights up by 17% and domestic flights by 10%.
March recorded the highest growth in international flights, with a 22% year-on-year increase, while June saw the sharpest rise in domestic flights - up 38% compared to 2024.
