Sri Lanka, April 10 -- Showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and Uva provinces, as well as the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts after 2:00 PM today (10), according to a statement from the Department of Meteorology.

Mainly dry weather conditions persist across the rest of the island. Misty conditions might develop during the early morning hours in parts of the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, and within the Ampara district.

The department urges the public to take necessary precautions to minimise damage caused by temporary localised strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
