Sri Lanka, March 25 -- Showers or thundershowers may occur in several places within the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as the Galle and Matara districts, after approximately 2:00 PM today (25).

The Department of Meteorology issued a statement noting that mainly dry weather prevails across the rest of the island.

Additionally, misty conditions might develop during the early morning in parts of the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, along with the Galle and Matara districts.

The department requests the public to take necessary precautions to minimise risks from lightning and temporary strong winds that could accompany thundershowers.
