Sri Lanka, April 26 -- Rain or thundershowers may occur in several provinces of the island during the afternoon today (26), according to an announcement by the Department of Meteorology.

Thundershowers are expected after approximately 2:00 p.m. in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts.

The department further states that mainly fair weather will prevail across the rest of the island.

Additionally, misty conditions may occur during the early morning in some places within the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces, and in the Galle, Matara, and Kalutara districts.
