Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- Sri Lanka will celebrate World Children's Day on October 1 with a series of national events.
Under the theme "Love and Protect - Help us Win the World," the Ministry of Women and Children's Affairs and the Department of Probation and Child Care Services are leading a program that brings together various institutions dedicated to children's welfare.
The national celebration will span a "National Children's Day Week" from September 25 to October 1.
The cabinet approved a proposal from the Minister of Women and Children's Affairs to implement the following programs:
