Sri Lanka, Aug. 23 -- According to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), there is a high possibility that a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) will be arrested over the treasure hunting incident in Anuradhapura, in which his wife was a suspect.

A senior police official said a decision regarding the DIG would be made based on information revealed from phone analyses and security camera footage.

The official added that investigations have revealed that the DIG was aware of his wife's activities at the shrine and that more information has come to light during the ongoing probe.
