Sri Lanka, Sept. 23 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board stated that the water supply to several areas will be temporarily suspended for an eight-hour period today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. due to essential maintenance work at the Kalawewa water treatment plant in Anuradhapura.

Accordingly, the water supply was temporarily suspended for the Ihalagama, Kalawewa, Maradankadawala, Thirappane, and Kekirawa areas.

The board requested consumers to store necessary water to avoid inconvenience caused by the water disruption.
