Sri Lanka, Oct. 20 -- Sri Lanka reported a total of 79 dengue-related deaths so far this year.

Data from National Dengue Control Unit shows that total dengue cases reported to date this year stand at 103,565.

Western Province accounts for 52.19% of overall cases, totaling 54,046 infections.

Gampaha recorded the highest number of infections at district level, with 21,828 cases reported so far.
