SriLanka, April 7 -- 2000 Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) are deployed to investigate the sanitary conditions of all public and private institutions providing dry, ready-made, and cooked food during the festive season.
K.A.P. Boralessa, President of the Public Health Inspectors' Association of Sri Lanka, states that steps have been taken to inspect food production facilities, distribution vehicles, shops, restaurants, hotels, mobile and permanent weekly fairs, and roadside eateries where passenger buses stop for meals.
