Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- Police say that a 17-year-old youth has died when a tractor travelling across the Rambawewa tank bund on the Divulwewa, Weligollewa road overturned.

The incident occurred when attempting to save a cow tied to the tank bund, causing the tractor to overturn from the tank bund towards the tank.

Three persons, including the driver, who were travelling in it sustained serious injuries due to the accident and were admitted to the Kahatagasdigiliya Hospital.

Hospital sources reported that one youth who was in critical condition died while receiving treatment.

The person who died in the incident is a 17-year-old youth residing in the Weligollewa area.
