Sri Lanka, Dec. 13 -- The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) identified landslide-prone areas in 14 districts across the country following the impact of Cyclone Ditwah.
Senior Scientist at the NBRI, Dr Wasantha Senadheera, further stated at a press briefing that an estimated 30% of Sri Lanka's total landmass has been identified as vulnerable to landslides.
Meanwhile, the Department of Meteorology has warned that due to the North-East Monsoon, moderately heavy rain is expected in six provinces, including the Northern Province, over the next 36 hours.
