Sri Lanka, May 22 -- The Department of Motor Traffic says nearly 100,000 vehicle number plates printed in 2023 and 2024, but not yet collected by vehicle owners, have piled up at department premises.

Vehicle owners have been urged to collect the plates before June 30.

The department said the uncollected plates are available at the Department of Motor Traffic head office in Narahenpita for Colombo District vehicles, as well as at district offices islandwide.

Owners can visit the relevant offices to collect their plates. Further information can be obtained by contacting the department's Vehicle Number Plate Division on 011-2033333.
