Sri Lanka, Oct. 6 -- Teaching is not merely a job limited to a salary, but a noble service performed with self-sacrifice and love, says Prime Minister Dr Harini Amarasuriya.

Issuing a congratulatory message to mark World Teachers' Day, designated by UNESCO for 5th October and celebrated today, the Prime Minister extended her heartfelt greetings to teachers dedicated to enlightening future generations and building a humane society.
