India, Oct. 8 -- In a major development in the probe into the death of popular singer Zubeen Garg in Singapore, his cousin Sandipan Garg who is an Assam Police Service (APS) officer, has been arrested. He was reportedly with the singer when the incident occurred.
Confirming the arrest, Special Investigation Team chief and Special DGP (CID) Munna Prasad Gupta told news agency ANI, "The SIT/CID of Assam Police have arrested an APS officer, Sandipan Garg, in connection with the singer Zubeen Garg death case."
The four others, who were arrested earlier in connection with the case, are now in police custody.
So far, the SIT/CID has arrested five people, including main event organiser of the Northeast India Festival Shyamkanu Mahanta, Zubeen...
