India, June 1 -- Zee Group has bagged the rights to telecast FIFA World Cup matches in India from June 11. So Indian fans will be able to see all matches of the World Cup to be played in the USA, Mexico and Canada on the network's television and digital platforms. This will be the first World Cup featuring 48 teams from around the world. A total of 104 matches will be played over the course of the competition. All matches will be shown in India.

The financial terms were not disclosed but it was learnt that the network has picked up the rights for the 2026 and the 2030 editions of the quadrennial event for a reported amount between $30 million and $35 million, far less than the $100 million FIFA had demanded for the 2026 and 2030 World Cu...
