LUCKNOW, Aug. 24 -- Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday sharpened his attack on Samajwadi Party, saying the people will wipe out the party in the next elections. He also took aim at those showing dilapidated school buildings on social media and claimed that before 2017, months were spent on examinations, results, holidays and curfews. In addition, he hailed former chief minister Kalyan Singh.

Adityanath's comment on the SP comes after its national president Akhilesh Yadav said at a press conference at the party headquarters in Lucknow that the SP remains intact because all his family members are Members of Parliament. The SP chief also rejected rumours that attempts were made by opponents to split the party.
