New Delhi, June 20 -- A review meeting held by Delhi LG, Sardar TS Sandhu, Delhi Commissioner of Police and the Secretary (Transport) revealed that measures are being taken to enhance safety of female passengers travelling on the DTC. A preliminary exercise of identifying vulnerable routes with high female ridership had been undertaken by the DTC and the Delhi Police had been requested to deploy women police personnel on the Ladies Special Buses plying on these routes, especially during morning and evening hours.
