Kolkata, Oct. 14 -- The Mamata All India Trinamool Congress claimed that an intoxicated woman with a knife allegedly tried to breach former West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's security cordon near her Kalighat residence while claiming to be her niece.
Party MP Dola Sen, in a complaint to the Kalighat police, alleged that the incident took place at around 6pm. Sen claimed that the woman tried to sneak into the security cordon and when she failed, she lied down on the road and hurled abuses. "It was then that we saw that she had a knife," she said. No senior police officers responded to HT's requests for comment till the time of going to print.htc
